About BPC-157 + TB-500

BPC-157 + TB-500 is a 10mg research blend containing 5mg of BPC-157 and 5mg of TB-500 (thymosin beta-4) in one lyophilized vial. Both peptides are studied in experimental models of tissue repair, cell migration and angiogenesis.

What is BPC-157 + TB-500?

This blend combines two of the most widely studied peptides in tissue-repair research. BPC-157 (body protection compound 157) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. TB-500 is the research name for synthetic thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a 43-amino-acid peptide that occurs naturally in most human cells.

Each vial contains 5mg of each peptide, for 10mg in total. Combining them lets researchers study two distinct repair-related pathways in the same experimental model.

How the two peptides work

BPC-157 has been studied mainly in animal models of gastrointestinal, tendon, ligament and muscle injury. Proposed mechanisms include effects on angiogenesis, nitric oxide signalling and growth-factor pathways that support fibroblast activity. It is notably stable in gastric juice, which is unusual for a peptide.

Thymosin beta-4 is the main actin-sequestering protein in many cell types. By binding monomeric G-actin, it regulates actin polymerisation and the cytoskeletal remodelling that cells need in order to migrate. Research links this activity to cell migration, angiogenesis and cell survival after injury.

What published research has examined

In a rat Achilles tendon model, BPC-157 was reported to improve functional, biomechanical and histological measures of healing (Staresinic et al., Journal of Orthopaedic Research, 2003). Its gastrointestinal research and stability in gastric juice are reviewed in Sikiric et al., Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2011.

For thymosin beta-4, a widely cited study reported that it activated integrin-linked kinase and promoted cardiac cell migration, survival and repair in a mouse model of cardiac injury (Bock-Marquette et al., Nature, 2004). These are preclinical findings, cited for scientific context only; BPC-157 is not approved by any drug regulator for human use.

BPC-157 + TB-500 FAQ

What is the ratio of BPC-157 to TB-500 in this blend?

Each 10mg vial contains 5mg of BPC-157 and 5mg of TB-500, a 1:1 ratio.

Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?

TB-500 is the name commonly used in the research market for synthetic thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4). The term is also sometimes used for a shorter active fragment of Tβ4, so it is worth checking the test report for what a given product contains.

How should this blend be stored?

Store unopened vials in a cool, dry place away from direct light, with refrigeration recommended for long-term storage. After reconstitution, keep the vial refrigerated at 2–8°C.
